Written in a clear manner, even the dark not so easy to understand art of propeller size and pitch is explained, together with associated propeller problems such as cavitation and ventilation.

Safety and planing, slipway launching, boat handling, knots and rescue procedures are tackled in a seamanlike way, in a form that any newcomer to powerboats wouldn't find difficult to appreciate.

All in all, a good buy for beginners and experts alike.
